1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is tandem Counselling und Beteiligungen GmbH, Kesselbrink 5, 33602 Bielefeld, Germany, phone +49 521 5603390, email verwaltung@tandem-counselling.de.
Data protection officer: Carlos Schwarz, email Datenschutz@tandem-personal.de.
2. Summary
This website does not set cookies, does not use tracking or analytics tools and does not load content from third parties (including fonts and maps). We only process personal data where this is technically necessary to operate the website and when you contact us via the request form, by email or by phone.
To make the website visible and known in Google Search, we use Google Search Console and run ads via Google Ads (sections 8 and 9). Both take place at Google, not on this website: no Google scripts are loaded and no cookies are set for this purpose.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you visit the website, the host automatically processes technical data transmitted by your browser: IP address, date and time of access, page requested, referrer URL, browser type and version, and operating system. This data is not combined with other data sources. The host stores the log data only briefly to detect errors and abuse and then deletes it automatically.
Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in providing the website securely, reliably and without errors. This includes protection against abuse: requests to the request form are limited per IP address (the host’s firewall).
We have concluded a data processing agreement with Vercel. Data transfers to the USA are based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision (EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework), under which Vercel Inc. is certified. More information: https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-notice (opens in a new tab).
4. Staff request form
If you send us a request via the request form on the “For employers” page, we process the details you enter: desired start, position, place of assignment, company (optional), contact person and phone number and/or email address. We use these details solely to process your request and to get in touch with you.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures at your request) and your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you give in the form and can withdraw at any time with effect for the future.
To send the form details to us by email, we use the service Resend by Plus Five Five, Inc., 2261 Market Street #5039, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA. Your details are not stored in a database on the website but are only transmitted to us by email. We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider. Data transfers to the USA are based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision (EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework), under which the provider is certified. More information: https://resend.com/legal/privacy-policy (opens in a new tab).
To process your request, we may forward it to the responsible branch company of the tandem Group (see legal notice).
We keep your request until the purpose no longer applies (e.g. once it has been dealt with), you ask us to delete it or you withdraw your consent. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
5. Contact by email or phone
If you contact us or one of our branches by email or phone, we process your details to deal with your enquiry. If you contact a branch directly, the respective branch company is the controller (details in the legal notice). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, otherwise our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed and no statutory retention periods apply.
6. Applications and job board
Our vacancies and application forms (job board and unsolicited application) are provided on a separate platform operated by zvoove (tandem-personal.europersonal.com and tandem-personal.recruit.zvoove.cloud). When you use these links, you leave our website. Data processing there is governed by the privacy policy available on that platform.
7. Links to other websites
This website contains links to other services, e.g. route planning on Google Maps or the website of the tandem Group. Data (e.g. your IP address) is only transmitted to the respective provider once you click such a link, not when you merely visit our website. The respective provider is responsible for data processing there.
8. Google Search Console
We use Google Search Console provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). It shows us how our website appears in Google Search, e.g. for which search terms it is displayed and how often it is clicked, and alerts us to technical errors. Google only provides us with aggregated statistical reports; we cannot draw conclusions about individual persons.
Search Console does not add any scripts or cookies to our website. The data arises from your use of Google Search and is processed there by Google under its own responsibility (https://policies.google.com/privacy (opens in a new tab)). To confirm that we own the website, the source code merely contains a verification code; no data is transmitted to Google as a result.
Where we process personal data in this context, we rely on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in keeping the website findable in Google Search and detecting technical errors.
9. Google Ads
We run ads via Google Ads (provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Our ads appear, for example, in Google Search. Which ads are shown to you there and which data Google processes for this purpose is Google’s responsibility (https://policies.google.com/privacy (opens in a new tab); ad settings: https://adssettings.google.com (opens in a new tab)).
We do not use cookies or Google scripts on our website for this purpose, in particular no conversion tracking and no remarketing. If you reach us via an ad, Google appends a click identifier (e.g. “gclid”) to the address you visit. It is not evaluated on our website but, like the rest of the address, briefly appears in the host’s server log files (section 3).
The legal basis for running the ads is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in promoting our services and vacancies.
10. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20), as well as the right to withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): where processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
To exercise your rights, simply contact the controller named above.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW), Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany.
11. Encryption
This website uses TLS encryption (recognisable by “https://” and the padlock symbol in your browser). Data you send to us, e.g. via the request form, therefore cannot be read by third parties.
